Pre-Planning

For family and friends, a funeral is an opportunity to pay tribute to someone who has lived and accept the realization that this individual has died. As funeral survivors adjust to the reality of life without a loved one, you can eliminate the worry and uncertainty for survivors by pre-planning funeral arrangements ahead of time and choosing what’s right for you, including music and flowers. Advance planning spares the family from difficult decisions at a stressful and emotional time. Knowing you’ve done everything today, to make it easier for them in the future will give you peace of mind. We plan for our retirement-planning funeral arrangements in advance is simply another way of planning for the future, and is good common sense.

Why should you pre-plan?

  • Now is the time when your wishes can be known and will be carried out and you can discuss options with our funeral professional and also with your family.
  • You are now able to make rational and logical decisions which will save your family the burden of having to make them under times of grief and stress.
  • It will not be a financial burden on your family. You can choose according to your wishes, spiritual beliefs as well as for your financial means, either by pre-paying for the services or having the monies set aside.

What is needed to make pre-arrangements?

  • You will need personal information such as your full name, address, spouse’s name, occupation, birth date, birthplace, parent’s names and their birthplaces and your next of kin or executor.
  • You can choose funeral or memorial service, burial, cremation, entombment or transfer to another city, music selections, participants (family and/or friends) to create a meaningful service.
  • Making specific selections. The selection of a casket or cremation container, an urn, a burial or urn vault, and a monument or memorial marker.
